Who can rent from Green Set?

Green Set happily services the Entertainment Industry, including Film, Television, and Special Events. We do not rent to individuals or the general public. If you would like to utilize our products and services for an upcoming personal event, you must be working with a company or event planner that is able to provide our insurance requirements.


I am a Production Company or an Event Planner, how do I get set up to rent from you?

An account is required for all rentals and purchases—orders will not be processed or prepared until all paperwork is received and the account is good to go.

All accounts are required to have the following documents on file and current:

  • Account Application (or One Sheet)
  • Signed Rental Agreement
  • Certificate of Insurance (COI)

What types of accounts do you offer?

COD – With this type of account, payment is required before we can release any items to your care. COD accounts are typically the easiest to set up and can be set up immediately, assuming all paperwork and insurance requirements are completed correctly. Green Set accepts credit card, ACH/wire, and business checks for payment.

NET 30 - Net 30 accounts are a type of credit account that will allow you to pay your invoices within 30 days of the invoice date. These accounts typically provide a Purchase Order (P.O.) prior to or upon delivery.

Accounts more than 30 days past due may be put on hold until brought current. A 2% interest fee will be charged on all past due invoices. Failure to keep up with payments may result in your account being closed or switched to COD terms..


What is needed to set up a new COD account?

  • Certificate of Insurance (COI) – please refer to our sample COI
  • Account Application (1st page only)
  • Signed Rental Agreement
  • Credit Card Authorization Form (online)
    • Payment must be provided by the insurance holder/insured entity providing the COI, or an individual. Payments from a 3rd party company will not be accepted.
    • A 3% transaction fee will be added to all orders paid with card.

Is there a fee for card payments?

Yes, there is a 3% transaction fee for all orders that are paid with a card.


Can I pay for a COD order with a wire or ACH?

You are welcome to pay with an ACH or wire, however, a card is still required as a backup.

Additionally, you will need to pay using the work order and proof of the transfer will need to be received 1 business day prior to delivery.

Please note that there are often multiple changes/revisions to work orders once they are submitted, which can complicate the process. As such, card is the preferred method of payment for COD orders.


How can my account get approved for Net 30 (credit) terms?

  • Provide a Letter of Financial Guarantee from a major studio or company that has an existing Net 30 account with Green Set.
  • Credit Inquiry – Requires positive reviews from 3 trade-related references with whom you have at least 6 months of good credit history
    • Complete the Credit Application found on our website & send to forms@greenset.com with your other documents (MUST include e-mail addresses for our Accounting to reach out to)
    • We will NOT accept the following as credit references:
      • Payroll companies/services
      • Legal services
      • Cashet, American Express, or other Credit Card companies

What is needed for a Net 30 (credit) account?

  • Certificate of Insurance (COI) – please refer to our sample COI
  • Account Application   OR   One Sheet
  • Signed Rental Agreement
  • PO Contact(s)
    • Please notify us if you do not use PO numbers
  • *Letter of Financial Guarantee
    • We may request this if your company/show is backed by a major studio or company that has Net 30 terms with us, but the insurance is not being directly provided by the company that already has Net 30 terms.

Does Green Set require a deposit payment?

Green Set only requires a deposit for larger orders over a certain amount which are subject to a 50% non-refundable deposit before any work can be started.

We do not accept deposits in lieu of insurance coverage.

Is there a fee for cancelling an order that was already confirmed?

If an order is cancelled after work has begun, you will be charged a Restocking Fee based on the labor that was already put in to get the order ready:

How long is your rental period? / When do my rental items need to be returned?

Our rental items are priced at a weekly rate. The rental period starts the day we release our items to your care, and rented items are due back on the same day the following week (8th day of the rental).

Example: If your order is picked up on a Tuesday, it is due back on the following Tuesday.

Most rentals are for one week, but we do offer longer rentals. Please let your sales rep know if you need your rental order longer than the standard week.


Is there a discount for rentals shorter than 1 week?

We do not give discounts or credits for a rental that is shorter than one week. All rental items are priced at a weekly rate (excludes labor and sale items).


Is there a discount for rentals that last multiple weeks?

Please inform your sales rep if you intend to keep your items for more than one (1) week so they can include the extra weeks on your estimate/order. However, you can extend your order during the rental period.

Does Green Set offer a student discount?

Student productions may be eligible to receive a 10% discount on rental orders. Please let your sales rep know ahead of time, so that they can get approval and include it with your estimate.


Can Green Set create a custom __________ for me?

Maybe! Custom trees and topiaries are our specialty, but we also have other fabrication capabilities. Please contact a sales rep for more information.


Can I purchase one of your rental items?

As a prop rental house, we steer away from selling our rental inventory, but sometimes we can make an exception. Please contact a sales rep for more information.


Does Green Set offer delivery and pickup services? How much is it?

Yes. Pricing varies, as it is dependent on several factors (location, day, time, order size, etc).

Delivery and pickup fees are charged per hour—the clock starts when our driver(s) leave Green Set and ends when they arrive back at Green Set.

The totals charged for delivery and pickup on your estimate or work order are an estimate—If our crew is on a job longer than the sales rep estimated, you will be billed for the additional time our team spends on the job.

What kind of delivery and pickup services does Green Set offer?

Green Set Inc. offers the following delivery and pickup options to help accommodate the needs of our clients:

Delivery & Drop Off – Green Set personnel will drop items at a single spot, such as a loading dock or other area that is easy to access

·   Customer is required to have their own on-site labor to move the items beyond this point

Delivery & Place – Green Set personnel will unload items and place in a specific area away from the unloading location

·         Customer is required to have their own on-site labor to place and strike items

Delivery & Dress – Green Set personnel will place all items in their predetermined spot(s) and prepped as necessary

 

 

Pickup Only– Green Set personnel will pick up items from a single spot, such as a loading dock or other area that is easy to access

·         Customer is required to group items in pickup area prior to the arrival of Green Set Personnel

Pickup & Strike – Green Set personnel will gather (strike) all items, transport, and load them on the truck for return to Green Set
